WILLIAM HOWE was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and has traveled extensively in Europe, South and Central America, Africa and Asia. He is a veteran stylist of New York City's top hair salons, and is now the senior colorist at the John Barrett Salon at Bergdorf Goodman.

In recent years William has brought his acute visual sense to photography, especially medium-format cityscapes and portraiture. Images from his Coney Island series were used on the cover of Coney Island Wonder Stories.

William speaks Italian and Spanish, and has a passing knowledge of several other languages. He lives on Manhattan's Lower East Side with his partner, Orlando Morini, and their dog and three cats.
