  • Lots of good stuff there that I don’t have. I previewed “Redneck Woman” on the music store and it sounds like fun. Speaking of the words to Charlie Daniels songs, one of the events of the birthday bash was an acapella rendition of as much as we (meaning people other than me, who only remembered the chorus and that barely) of “The Devil Went Down to Georgia,” which, although I didn’t actually buy that 45, might end up on the next CD mix.

  • Interesting mix of stuff. That would be more than enough to cause any single-format radio station DJ’s head to spin around in a full circle!

(And er, that would be purchased fully legally by and on behalf of and not retained by us un any way, shape, or form, for all you RIAA trolls out there!)

  • Heh heh, my October CDMOM mix is done, and it’s got “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” on it. It’s a Devil Music mix for Halloween. (I think I’ll send a copy to Tipper Gore.)

Hmm… I see a definite country flavor here. You are clearly in need of some satan music. Perhaps Pat Boone’s collection of heavy metal covers?

  • Sad to say, I know most of the words to “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.” Sadder still? I know the words to the entire Jesus Christ Superstar soundtrack.

I think the best track on I’m Here for the Party is “Pocahontas Proud.” But Gretchen Wilson looks like the kind of girl who’s there for the party.

  • Ha! I’d like to think my taste in music is eclectic. I’ve been told it’s merely bad.

  • Yes, I’m sure that will elevate the tone: Pat Boone crooning death metal. Then we could get The Indigo Girls to cover “Oops! I Did it Again!”
